We acknowledge that you need in some cases immediate answers of reassurance. Please know that you are being prayed for. When we receive news like some of you submit, it takes time for us deal with the shock and pain the losses cause us. Our prayer warriors prefer giving you answers gained through prayer and compassion rather than through emotions. Know that there are those who immediately begin praying for those faced with difficult situations. They wait to see who the Holy Spirit wants to respond to each individual. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

(Pass out the blood) We lift this cup of Jesus’ blood in thanksgiving that what we have claimed according to Your will is sealed in His blood and His blood shields us from all backlash and blacklash (First drink).

Re: Post-fast Communion November 20 Norma,You definitely don't want to get wafers symbolizing the sun god, but you can make your own bread without putting any leavening agent into it so that it will be flat, unleavened bread.

Re: Post-fast Communion November 20 Lawrence,Fasting can be done while you work, even though it is not ideal for this kind of fast. If you pray in the spirit, in tongues, you can pray as you do mechanical tasks and try to spend your lunch time in a spiritual activity like reading the Word or praying.

Re: Post-fast Communion November 20 Penny,Since this is not a holy day such as Atonement when God fixes the hour, we have decided for logistical reasons (we start our church evening meal after services usually at 5 PM) to start the fast at 6 PM on Saturday, November 19 and end it with communion at 6 PM on Sunday the 20th. Thank you for asking. The sunset has suddenly gotten earlier with the time change.

Re: Post-fast Communion November 20 Estra, Fasting is a personal thing. Stricter requirements exist for the annual Day of Atonement, but other fasts are a matter of personal conscience. God meets you where you are. Do the best you can.

In fact, while it takes more effort than usual, dancing is even more effective as spiritual warfare against Satan during a fast.

Several years ago I was watching an exciting Grey Cup involving Edmonton, but I had to take the plane to Seattle to see my brother. When I got there, I spent a week trying to find out who won (wasn't a "googler" at the time). My brother asked, "Isn't that the hockey tournament?" I said, "No, that's the Stanley Cup not the Grey Cup." Finally found out who won only on returning to Edmonton. Actually it took several weeks, since I went to Africa from Seattle after that 7 hour stopover, and in Africa they knew even less than those in the U.S. I realize that sports fans sometimes have to make sacrifices for God, and yet I realize that if this was the Super Bowl, my level of faith would be more greatly tested. We pray God's wisdom and zeal will guide you, Jackson. We sports fans know how easy it is to put sports above God.

Re: Post-fast Communion November 20 How do you know if you are keeping the fast in the right attitude? I know things like dwelling on pronography is wrong but I am thinking about business, or parties or going to a dance? Those sort of things that come up in an average day.

Re: Post-fast Communion November 20 I completed the Benjamin blessing fast and had communion and sang songs of thankfulness. This morning the company that laid me off last month, phoned and offered me a better job and more than twice the money I was being paid before. I can hardly wait to see what happens next.
