Charles Stanley. Run Time - 0:40 --------------------------------------
The teachings continue looping in the above order.
Our programming schedule often includes anointed men and women of God whom we respect and from whom we learn much. We do not necessarily agree, however, with every word they say, especially when it comes to using the word "Lord," which is an incorrect translation used in many versions of the Bible. (Why? Read more HERE)
We acknowledge that you need in some cases immediate answers of reassurance. Please know that you are being prayed for. When we receive news like some of you submit, it takes time for us deal with the shock and pain the losses cause us. Our prayer warriors prefer giving you answers gained through prayer and compassion rather than through emotions. Know that there are those who immediately begin praying for those faced with difficult situations. They wait to see who the Holy Spirit wants to respond to each individual. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

To get somewhat personal, when my wife and I have an opportunity to be home alone and have intimate time together, we consider it a special blessing, in the same manner that we feel good when we are “home alone” with God. After all, He does say we are to abide in Him (John 15:4) and make Him a home in our hearts (Isa. 66:1). We can’t do that if we have no time alone with Him, praying, reading His Word aloud, meditating on it, as well as listening for His voice and to His voice. Out time alone this week was attacked. We have noticed many attacks before this important fast (two of our dear bloggers were strangely attacked with pneumonia). Even our sleep and our time alone with God has been somewhat challenged. All this impressed on my mind the need to have time “home alone” with God. Yet our home alone often resembles the frantic problems of the famous movie, Home Alone. We need to rest in Jesus, yet we also need to rest, period. A marriage cannot succeed when the two partners rarely spend time alone together. Our marriage with Jesus will also fail when we don’t spend quiet time every day with Him. What are you doing today that is more important than spending time with God? Have you given your tithe of the time to God today? Have you delighted in His presence? David, whose delight was to be in God’s presence (Ps. 27:4), said, “In Your presence is fullness of joy…” (Ps. 16:11). Have we missed out on the joy of Jesus on a daily basis and on that special day that comes every week, the holy Sabbath, the door of intimacy with our God? Have we wondered why Christians don’t have joy these days? How we spend our time tells God much about us. This week we have an opportunity to meet with Him on His Sabbath, and then to fast as we meet face-to-face with the only One who can bring us the end-time, Benjamin blessing. Will you allow circumstances to keep you away from intimacy with your Bridegroom? Or will you meet face-to-face with your God?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Did Jesus say that his deciples did not need to fast. Because He was among them. Well is He not already in us as believers?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Hank,Jesus was speaking of His physical presence with His disciples at that time. He left and sent the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. The Bridegroom left for heaven and is no longer on Earth. So Jesus said when the Bridegroom left, His disciples would need to fast. So we need to fast now. The Bible is clear on this throughout its pages.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Rhoda,When one has not activated the gift every believer has access to of speaking in the spirit (in tongues), the subjects are limited. Thank God for the breaking of the yokes of poverty and lack over those who participate in the fast and for the end-time blessing of power and of the release of all the graces of God. Pray the Word of God. Consult the article on the Benjamin Blessing, read the verses given, and thank God for the fulfillment of these verses and promises. Speak God's Word back to Him in thanksgiving.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Hank,Read Matthew 9:14-15. Jesus said, "The attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them [physically speaking, obviously], and then they will fast." He is saying that His disciples, after He left for heaven, would and should fast until He, the Bridegroom raptures them up to be with Him and return with Him to rule the Earth in glorified, physical bodies that will not need to either eat or fast. Jesus is not talking about His spiritual presence in us. He is talking about His bodily translation to heaven and His glorious return to Earth 2000 years or so after He spoke these words.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God I do not quite understand what you where saying to Rhoda, are we to pray in the spirit for others to have the release of the Benjamin blessing? Pray only for ourself? Or just pray the scriptures while we fast?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Viola,This is a group fast, so we are praying for all in the group, including ourselves. Fasting for others is always the ideal, but in this case we are included. How we fast is our choice, and fasting is indeed a personal thing. Praying the Word is powerful.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Do people fast for the pride of fasting? Do the still get answers from God when they have a bragging pride in the time they spend fasting?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Dorian, "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble," as James says (4:6). So if someone is fasting out of pride, God does not even hear them.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Can the devil actually force us to do anything? Or do we have to come into agreement first? Or does he keep saying the same thing over and over until we are hypnotized into accepting sin into our life?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Walter,Satan and his demons cannot force us to do anything. Only in rare cases would a person allow a demon to possess him or her, and that would be by their permission. Satan does broadcast his thoughts into us as the prince of the power of the air, but we have free will unless we surrender it to him and his demons, which some few have done.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Are you saying that we have to wait until God turns off His glory in order to talk to him or see Him face to face? And I thought that we have to see Him face to face to get the Benjamin blessing. I still do not understand how this is to be done?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Mary and David,When you talk to God in prayer, do you see Him? See 1 Timothy 6:16 and 1 Peter 1:8, that says "though you have not seen Him, you love Him..." We said, "meet Him" face-to-face, not see Him face-to-face. We realize in the realm of mankind, when you meet someone face-to-face, you see them, but it is not the same with God, who is a Spirit (John 4:24). While the Benjamin blessing may bring some supernatural manifestations of seeing God, only only definite, biblical promise of seeing Jesus is in 1 John 3:2 (and Mat. 5:8): " We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is."

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God When the bible says that God is in control, does this mean that we have to wait until He is ready to meet with us? Does singing praise songs increase our opportunity of meeting with God and the length of timewe can spend with Him?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Our pastor says that we can only meet with God when the new moon and the Sabbath combine to be on the same day. He gave us a special prayer to sing over and over until God hears us and answers. Are you aware of these conditions?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Rebecca,We believe this is something we deal with in our coming e-book on the new moons. The Bible says the Sabbath is holy because Jesus is in it, so we meet with Him on that day, not only when it is also a new moon.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Rebecca, using the prayer your pastor gave you over and over will make you like a "clanging gong" and create an incantation. This will prevent you from meeting with God. We meet with God when we are in thanksgiving and praise. God is ready and willing to meet with you any time, however there is a greater intimacy with Him every Sabbath and every new moon.

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Rebecca, I think that your pastor may have given you a spell to sing out that blocks hearing from God. His statement would imply that God only allows two access times a year and if you miss it you have no way of getting your prayers heard or understood. That is an absolute lie, and makes me think that your pastor is a warlock or a priest of the temple of Seth. Have you checked his singing prayer with the word of God?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God What should one talk about when one is alone with the Father? And when one is talking to the Father is it okey to call Him Dad or is that presumptuous?

Re: Heart-to-heart about Time Alone with God Hannah,Talk to the Father about how great He is and what He has done to bless you and others. Talk to him about His Word and speak it back to Him, expecting answers. Talk to him about others and their problems, thanking Him for solving those problems by quoting His promises. Talk to Him about what is going on in your life and how you need Him in every situation. Praise Him for His marvellous works. How we address Him is a personal matter, but calling Him Dad or Daddy is no more presumptuous than calling our physical father by the same personal names. He is our Abba Father.
