Charles Stanley. Run Time - 0:40 --------------------------------------
The teachings continue looping in the above order.
Our programming schedule often includes anointed men and women of God whom we respect and from whom we learn much. We do not necessarily agree, however, with every word they say, especially when it comes to using the word "Lord," which is an incorrect translation used in many versions of the Bible. (Why? Read more HERE)
We acknowledge that you need in some cases immediate answers of reassurance. Please know that you are being prayed for. When we receive news like some of you submit, it takes time for us deal with the shock and pain the losses cause us. Our prayer warriors prefer giving you answers gained through prayer and compassion rather than through emotions. Know that there are those who immediately begin praying for those faced with difficult situations. They wait to see who the Holy Spirit wants to respond to each individual. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

As we were about to shut down our computer and take it in for an exchange, which will take a day, we were reminded that we needed a new General Questions post. We do appreciate all the questions (and answers!), and we are thankful for this category so you can pose any question on any subject.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 If some sin does not tempt you, does that mean you have already been given the grace to reject it without having to stand against it? Does that make a person who is not tempted in a particular sin superior to those who are tempted by it?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 We were in group prayer last night and have got that you purchased a new Apple Computor that has curses upon it, has the whirlwind demon of choas and the demon defectiveness. Someone that you sought to guide you into business is cursing everything you touch including your wife.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Vigaro, You can never be superior to anyone when you are not tempted by a particular sin. Superiority comes when you have controlled your tongue and learned how to reject all temptations to sin.

Does this mean loving ones neighbor as oneself?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Earl, All of the above may be involved, but the starting point is the power of our own words, dominion power and authority that Jesus has given us on the Earth. The demons tremble at the words of a believer who knows his authority over them.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Bruce, get your head out of the chamber pot, its off gasing is obviously effecting your judgemnet section of your brain. The lonely neighbor is an adulterous witch, who wants you to be her next victim. And you already know that it is very wrong in your heart, so it has nothing to do with being a good neighbor.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Earl, when you want to bind demons, you must speak it out loud, and you must do it in Jesus name, and this will authorize the angel to act on your behalf to see that the demons are bound. If you say it is fear than the demons can bind you and your gaurdian angels.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Bruce, loving our neighbor refers to doing things for them that do not satisfy our flesh. A good neighbor prays for their neighbor in the spiirt and speaks the word of God into their life. Being a good neighbor would be to advise the neighbors husband that his wife is looking for other men to fill his place while he is gone and that he should consider moving his wife temporarily close to him where he is working or consider the cost of working away.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Bruce, Why are you trying to mock God by even considering such a twisted request from your neighbors WIFE. She is not your wife, so your desire to service her is all wrong. Have you considered the consequences of such actions from her husband should he return and find out that you have been involved with his mate?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Dean,Jesus is HIgh Priest in heaven and He both lives in us and meets with us in the throne room in heaven on the Sabbath. Put simply, it is written, paraphrased, "Six days you shall labor, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of Jesus your God. You shall do not work on that day..." What's so complicated about that? Why invent conditions the Bible does not give?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Darryl,They abandoned Him, not the other way around. Jesus did deliberately scatter them into other areas because they disobeyed Him and refused to keep His Sabbaths (Ezekiel 20 and 22). But that was because they deliberately chose to rebel. Those who have turned to Him He has not abandoned.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Sumjeet, Betty G. gave a great answer and she told you love is when you obey Jesus. When we obey Jesus we keep His commandments. The seventh commandment tells us not to committ adultery. Adultery is when married folks have sex with others than their spouce. Also included in this commandments meaning is fornication for single people. Having sex before marriage is sinning against your body and anothers and one is also harming their future spouse. If you want to know the difference between lust and love refuse to allow anyone to touch you sexually until your wedding night. Real love does what is good for the other person, as lust is to satisfy ones own flesh. God bless you with His wisdom and strength of committment to keep yourself pure for the one who is willing to wait for you.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 We rejoiced recently with this praise report from Pastor Aloice in Kenya: Shalom pastor Robert! Our God, the healer got uplifted yesterday in the eyes of none christians when He heald a pregnant woman, who has stayed 12 months without giving birth. The doctors gave up and operate her for the baby to be removed, claming that the baby is dead. When the husband heard that, he told the doctor to wait for four hours for him to decide on what to do. This man left the hospital and came to our church and asked for prayer support and also asked me to acompany him to the hospital. I came to the hospital that evening and found that woman in agreat pain and fear of death. I prayed asking God to maniffest His healing power, i took almost one thirty minutes kneeling near the sick bed. Before saying my last prayer i heard the cry of achild, doctors where amazed and thank God for healing that woman in great pain. The husband promised to follow Jesus and be baptised in freedom church of God and change from sunday keeping to sabbath keeping. This prayer request is from Silas, ?Amina [his wife] is teribly under very strong sickness attack.Am not in any good financial state That i can either take her to the hospital.what i only did is i prayed with her.but the situation has not left her shes at home bed.am calling upon your prayers and guidances."

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Arvella,The word Lord in the Bible either refers to Yahovah or the Eternal One, which all three members of the Trinity are, or Divine Master, which they also all are, although Jesus fulfills that role more specifically. Jesus never referred to His Father as Lord. He referred to Him as Father, only once as God when His Father was distant as Jesus took all sins on Himself on the cross. People today use Lord to refer to all three members of the Trinity, and it is a challenge to know which member they are referring to. They don't realize they are actually referring to a demon named quagmire and to a false god named Baal. Why not simply call Him by His name of power, Jesus?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Myla,We find numerous occasions where Jesus told His disciples, "Let's get away for a pause...we don't even have time to eat." He was not a workaholic. He did what His Father instructed HIm to do, so He was always in His Father's will and thus always empowered to do what He needed to do. He did not need to go for two weeks and lie on a beach, which is not to say there may be a time for us to get away for a change of scenery. The feast days were times of revival for him when He would sometimes travel to a new location to celebrate the days He Himself gave in the First Testament. He was renewed daily, and on the weekly Sabbath, the new moons, and the feast days, so He didn't need to "vacate" and go on a vacation. The joy His Father gave Him as He served and gave to others was His strength. When He was tired, He rested. He was our perfect example in all things.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Myla,It means to forgive them as Jesus did and pray blessings upon them, in some cases blessing them with the spirits of repentance and forgiveness, and to hold no ill will toward them. No, that does not include the avowed spiritual enemies of God (Satan and the demons) who have set their will to do evil and destroy us without changing.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Our pastor says that Jesus has to return for his people on Pentacost because that was the day he started to mark his people. Are there anyway of acutally knowing when Pentacost will come?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Betteyon,Jesus established Trumpets as the day of the coming of the King, and He was born on that day. He will also return on that day and rapture His saints before His coming on that day. Pentecost has no such meaning. It falls at the beginning of God's plan as shown in the feast days. Trumpets falls in the seventh month which symbolized the seventh millennium. Sounds like your pastor is using this as an excuse to keep a day other than the one God clearly commands, substituting Sunday for the Sabbath by using Pentecost Sunday as an excuse. Pentecost is the only holy day that always falls on a Sunday. He wants to make Sunday God's day, and he has no authority whatsoever to do that. You should check what he is saying with God's Word.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Marla,The sweating of blood was a trauma that was part of the traumas that Jesus went through to set us free from traumas. He shed blood seven times in all at the end. It was his death that paid the penalty of death for those who break the Sabbath knowingly. It no more stops the validity of the Sabbath commandment than it now allows us to murder people.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Adam,Jesus had to fulfill all prophesy and break all curses. It is written in Deuteronomy 21:22-23 that when a man commits a sin worthy of death and you hang him on a tree, he is accursed of God (Gal. 3:13). Jesus had to become that sacrifice and be accursed of God for us by dying on a tree (or part of a tree), a cross of wood. He also had to pay the penalty of sin represented by a tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which was a tree of death contrasting with the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. He had to die that gruesome death to pay the penalty we have merited by our sins. The cross is forewshadowed in many Hebrew words and types in Scripture. Abraham in Genesis 15 went through a figure eight formation when he went with Jesus through the parts of the sacrificial animal. That figure symbolized eternity, and the middle of it formed a cross, the fulcrum around which turned the plan of God for eternity. The cross was that central event.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Darryl,Pastors say all kinds of things that are lies and thus sinful. They don't understand that Jesus was the God of the "Old Testament," the One who struck down Uzza who touched the ark. Was that also a sin? When Jesus comes back to smash His enemies with HIs wrath, will that also be a sin? There is no sin in Jesus, and there has never been a sin in Him or He would not be our Savior and we would be doomed to death. He was filled with righteous anger in defending His Father's house, and He would do it again today. Your pastor should be thankful Jesus hasn't started separated the wheat from the chaff as He did with Uzza at the threshing floor. It won't be long before the liars repent or they face sudden judgment as with Anania and his wife in Acts 5 who fell dead at the feet of the apostle for their blatant lies.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Joyce and Adam,Another interesting sidelight on this question about why Jesus had to die on a cross is in the Hebrew word for law or instruction, torah. The pictorial understanding of this word based in the letters of the Hebrew alphabet used give this meaning: that which comes from the man (resh) on the cross (letter tav). So even in the Hebrew word for the law Jesus said He did not come to destroy (Mat. 5:17) that Christians think He did come to destroy or do away with is the very law He Himself gave. After all, who else could the man on the cross be? He was foreordained before the world began to die for us on a cross, and the very word torah prophesies that death on a cross. God knows the end from the beginning, so He foretold His Son's death on the cross by this Hebrew word. Isn't God amazing?

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Michael B. If you do not get rid of these materials, the demons will tempt you to attach your soul to them. The demons will then have full legal right to control you just like they did you father. And they will take your life just as they did your father. We pray that you get free of these things very quickly.

Re: General Questions/Comments # 3 Jean,Titus 2:11-12 and Romans 6:14 as well as "My grace is sufficient....power is perfected in weakness" (2 Cor. 12:9) indicate this. However, the strongest definitions are in the conceptual Hebrew words for grace and gracious, channan and channun as in Genesis 43:29. When you grasp the context of Ephesians 2:4-10, you also understand that the works God prepared beforehand in us are the result of His grace. Galatians 2:20-21 is also a passage that teaches this principle. It is Jesus in us that does the works (2 Thes. 3:3; 1 Thes. 5:24). Romans 5:15-21 explains the same concept when properly understood. Jesus IS the grace in us that enables us (1 Cor. 1:3-9).
