One of our members did a little research about Valentine's Day that we post below. This day is never commanded in the Bible, and it has nothing to do with true love. Its origins are in lust, not love. Some even believe it is connected with Nimrod the hunter. Whatever the case, it is pagan in origin and has not place in the life of a true believer. Some of our specialists in origins of pagan days may be able to or even correct our summary explanation, and we welcome that. If you think God is depriving you of fun, realize that God's fun and joy are in Jesus, not in days of pagan origin. And God blesses us with renewed joy as we keep HIS day revealed in Leviticus 23, but Satan "blesses" us when we keep his days, and his "blessings" are short lived and become curses and invite demons into our lives.
It doesn't matter how many churches approve or encourage this pagan celebration, making it seem Christian. It is not acceptable. God wants us to celebrate our marriages, especially on our anniversaries, but He does not want us to celebrate a feast of lust, which has nothing to do with true marital love. The famous "cupids" bring lust, not love. Why not base our celebrations on God's Word instead of doing our own thing and calling it good when it is not (Prov. 14:12)? "Come out of her, My people," says God (Rev. 18:4). In "over think," Christians have figured out that their ideas about Christmas, Easter, and Valentine's Day are better somehow that the ideas of their Creator. It's time to repent of following the ways of the world so we can be accepted by unbelievers and Christians who have bowed to falseness.

If you think that valentine's day is the only day of love, someone put huge blinders on you. A pagan day of lust has nothing to do with love. Re: Valentine's Day Sumdeep, Love seeks to serve, to have compassion and want anothers persons freedom from sin and failure. No little red card is going to ever do that. Not having people lusting after your body is a good thing not a bad one. Love is when you obey Jesus, not the dictates of the flesh. Try it you will like it.

Re: Valentine's Day Rolland, The ways of Satan are legalistic. He lays a trap, pushes you into it, and then goes and accuses you before Father God. Compassion is what Jesus has given you when you are able to love the unlovable, the sick, and the sinners.
